Nightmare is another excellent book written by one of my favorite authors, that author being Joan Lowery Nixon.

The first time I read this book was a few years ago. I had been thinking of re-reading it for the past year or so, but I couldn't recall the name of the book. Until I was looking at a list of her books after I checked out The Dark and Deadly Pool and let me just say that it was just as good as the first time that I read it.
One of my favorite things about this book would have to be how real the main character Emily comes across. With the nightmare that has been haunting her sleep since she was a little girl; along with her unexplained fear of Camp Excel and the nagging feeling that she's been there before.
My favorite part of Nightmare would have to be when Emily decided that she was no longer going to live her life being afraid of something that she saw and try’s to figure out just what exactly happened all those years ago.
My least favorite part of the book would have to be how her parents seemed to expect her act just like her older sisters and get follow in their footsteps.
Another thing I liked about Nightmare would have to be the friends that Emily made while she was there; they were all kind of odd with their own issues and reasons for being there.
All in all, Nightmare is a terrific, yet very short read.
