Title: Discover the Destroyer1
Series: Everworld (book 5)
Number of Pages: 171
Publication Date: 2000
Genre: Teen Fiction/Fantasy
Synopsis: "Senna. The one and only reason David, Christopher, April, and Jalil are in Everworld. Senna is also the reason they can't get back to their own world. It seems she only shows up when she wants to be found. And she always disappears. At the moment, Senna is the least of their problems. Now they have to make a choice: Outsmart the dragon that killed Galahad - or die. And the odds of David and the others surviving by themselves aren't very good. But they've met some Everworld residents that might be willing to help for a price: Senna."

Discover the Destroyer is the fifth book in the Everworld series and brings us back to David as the lead narrator. Back to David; who just so happens to be completely under Senna's control. David who would die to protect her. Stupid, stupid boy.
At least he realizes that she doesn't care for him and that he's just a pawn to her. Moving on.
So they had barely escaped their last encounter with a goddess and her minions. But now they have to deal with a huge dragon. A dragon that has been robbed and quite angry about it.
My favorite part about Discover the Destroyer would have to be when they found out that they were going to have to make a visit to... Fairy Land. It's funny because Christopher kept joking around in the early books about Leprechauns and Elves.
Next part of the book to me would have to be when David knocked Senna out. Which she definitely deserved.
To me it seemed that they had an easier time doing what needed to be done in this book. Almost like a mild reprieve before the next big problem arises. But still, it was highly enjoyable.
Discover the Destroyer was good, but definitely had less action then the previous books. But it also had more flashbacks to David's pass and more insight to his internal struggle with Senna.

Discover the Destroyer earns 4 out of 5 pineapples.
