Very excited to be one of the featured bloggers on this week's Feature & Follow, hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.
Q: If you could choose one supernatural being/creature to really exists what would it be and why? ex. fae { submitted by @SeeingNight }
I'm going to go with what is my current favorite supernatural being/creature at the moment, mermaids. Not sure why I would them to be real, other then the fact that they eat or turn people into creatures of the night.

Yes, you should definitely read some of the mermaid books that are out.
DeleteI would recommend Daughters of the Sea by Kathryn Lasky and Tera Lynn Childs' Forgive My Fins.
Congrats on being the feature!! Mermaids are cool. I'd always wanted to explore the deep seas, but why must all supernatural creatures be scary? Why can't mermaids all be like Ariel?

Yep, mermaids would be pretty awesome...and safe. I would have to invest in a class bottom boat though. Congrats on the feature.

I once dressed up as the Little Mermaid for Halloween...before I was into mermaids. I started liking mermaids after I read some really good books last year. =)

I picked mermaids, too, and for pretty much the same reason. Who would want vampires to be real? Or werewolves? Not me. That would be too scary. Mermaids seemed fairly innocuous.

ReplyDeleteLike yourself I've been blogging since approximately 2008 but it wasn't solely about books. However, as of late I noticed that 3/4 of my posts is on books anyway so I'm in the process of making this solely a book blog.
Mermaids that'd definitely be what my boyfriend would be choosing as he loves fishes! He'd love to wake up in the morning and see a mermaid in his 8ft tank LOL

I would choose mermaids because I just finished Madly and in that book they are peaceful creatures who love humans. Plus, they are usually beautiful and can live on land and under the ocean. How great is that?

ReplyDeleteGreat pick, I like mermaids too, especially the mermaid in the current book i am reading, called Snow Bound (More than Magic book 2) By Elizabeth Kirke (she is also in the first book Semester Aboard (More than Magic 1) She is a pretty fun mermaid, and so is the water elemental that is friends with her, and other magical people too.
Anyway, here is my post
