Synopsis: "Rachel has finally come to terms with the outrageously unfair fact that her younger sister, Miri, has inherited magical powers from their mom. But now the whole witchcraft thing is spiraling out of control. Mom is a magicaholic, Miri’s on a Save the World kick, and the one teeny tiny love spell that Rachel begged for has gone embarrassingly, horribly wrong.
Suddenly, the fate of everything is in Rachel’s hands.
Her family.
The world.
Senior prom."

While I really enjoyed read Frogs and French Kisses, the main character Rachel got on my nerves more times then not.

Although it was pretty funny when she accidentally made Raf's older brother fall in love with her instead of Raf, especially since she couldn't seem to get rid of him without reversing the spell.
Actually I was slightly annoyed with most of the characters in this book: Rachel, Miri, and their mom. The mom because she became hooked on using magic for everything; Miri with her save the world scheme that went wrong; and Rachel and her boy issues.
Even with irksome character traits the book still managed to be quite funny without any dull, slow points.
Best part of the book was when Rachel was invited to dinner with Raf's family as Will's date, it was so funny. Along with the relationship between Miri and Rachel, love how they'd help each other and still bicker over the small stuff.
Worst part of the book would have to be how the mom acted when she started dating.
Frogs and French Kisses was a good read and I can't wait to read the next book in the Magic and Manhattan series.

  1. Great review. This book is on my shelf waiting to be read, I thought the title was cute. I will keep in mind that the characters will be a bit annoying, but I am glad to hear the book is funny.

  2. The title is so cute - too bad the book didn't live up to it.
