Land of Loss picks up right where Search for Senna left off, but this time the story is told from Christopher's point of view. He's not necessarily my favorite character from the book, but he does bring a different perspective to the book. Land of Loss see David, April, Christopher, and Jalil heading off to battle with the Vikings against the Aztecs and their god Huitzilopoctli. Gosh, he has a long name.
Christopher is by far my least favorite character. It could just be that I don't really like characters that crack poor jokes trying to lighten the mood at in opportune moments, like, when their about to die... again. Or characters that make snide barbs, even if the character their "insulting" deserves it. Plus he always seems to be trying to pick a fight with either David or Jalil and it gets kind of old.
Although, occasionally he comes up with a funny one-line like "Giant murdering Beanie Babies".
Favorite part of the book, when they ran across Merlin. Yep, you heard me right I said Merlin, did I mention they also run across a dragon. And if that's not enough, they finally find Senna.
Land of Loss is a great follow up to Search for Senna.
