Teaser Tuesday (51)

Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. To participate, simply do the following: Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week I ahve two  teasers one from The Exodus Gate by Stephen Zimmer and the other for Cryer's Cross (audio) by Lisa McMann.

I actually had the hardest time choosing a teaser for The Exodus Gate because there were so many passages that drew my attention, but this one stuck with me the most.
Despite the jesting tone, he could not completely stifle the flare of anger that he felt at the growing elitism that he perceived at the summits of political and cultural power in the country. Some of his friends accused him of being alarmist, but he was adamant that the foundations that had made the UCAS strong and free were eroding quicker than ever. page 298
Cryer's Cross:
Touch Our face and you'll hear Us again. You'll wonder. page 34

  1. Nice when you have so many to choose from! The Cryer's Cross one seems creepy for some reason.
