Now a metal plate holds her together and she feels like a stranger in her own family.Why: I bet you're as surprised as I am about what I'm wishing for this week. Yes, this week I am wishing for Playing Hurt a contemporary read. I figured since I'm not reading anything with supernatural or paranormal elements why not wish for one without those things this week too. So the main reason I picked Playing Hurt was because it sounds like a really interesting read, plus the synopsis now has me wanting to know how it will all end.
That summer, Chelsea's dad hires Clint, a nineteen-year-old ex-hockey player and "boot camp" trainer, to work with her at a northern Minnesota lake resort. As they grow close, Chelsea finds that Clint's haunted by his own tragedy. Will their romance end up hurting them all over again—or finally heal their heartbreak?
I love how the covers not all cluttered with too much going on, its has a nice neat and clean feel to it.
