In My Mailbox was started by Kristi of The Story Siren and inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie. Sadly the only books I order are those that are hard to find. The following books are from the library and bookstores.

Love*Com (Lovely*Complex, VOL 1) by Aya Nakahara, 2007.

Risa Koizumi is the tallest girl in class, and the last thing she wants is the humiliation of standing next to Atsushi Otoni, the shortest guy. La Corda d'Oro (La Corda d'Oro, VOL 1) by Yuki Kure, 2008.

Every few years, the prestigious Seisho Academy holds a prominent musical competition, and only the very best students at the Academy are allowed to participate. Though all are eligible to apply, only students from the music department actually make it to the competition...until now.

Kahoko is a normal student in the general education department with absolutely no musical skill, but all that changes when she catches a glimpse of an elusive fairy who lives on campus. The fairy grants Kahoko a magic violin, and before she knows it, she's nominated to participate in the school's music competition with five very attractive boys. Will she win love and fame, or will bitter rivalry rule the day?

Haruka: Beyond the Stream of Time, VOL 1 by Tohko Mizuno, 2004.

Akane is your typical teenage girl...until she swallows a Dragon Jewel, which transports her to the Heian period of ancient Japan! There in the city of Kyou, Akane learns that she has been foreordained to lead the people as the Priestess of the Dragon God! But all is not well. Akram, the head of the Oni Clan, has sworn death and destruction on Kyou. So Akane appoints eight young men, the Hachiyo, to stand by her side as she faces the danger that awaits...

Prince of Tennis, VOl 1 by Takeshi Konomi, 2004.

The exciting backdrop of high school tennis serves as the setting for the sports drama and coming-of-age story, The Prince of Tennis. From creator Takeshi Konomi, the manga depicts the on- and off-the-court adventures of Ryoma Echizen, who joins the Seishun Gakuen Middle School tennis team, known for being one of the most competitive teams in Japan. Freshmen rarely have a chance to actually play during their first year, but Ryoma's cool confidence, combined with a deadly, un-returnable "twist serve," gain him a coveted starting spot. With rigorous and extremely intense practices, the upperclassmen of the team expect the very best from themselves, and expect even more from the new members of the team. He's made the cut but can he survive the intense competition? Join Ryoma and other first year players, as they train hard, make friends, and try to find a place for themselves on the team.

I have already read all my IMM books for the week and loved all but one of them. By far the two best were Love*Com and La Corda d'Oro, they were hilarious and kept me laughing (go check them out, read them). Prince of Tennis was okay. Haruka: Beyond the Stream of Time was good, but a little confusing at first.
Well that is all for me this week (kind of glad it was a slow book week, I have so much to get caught up on).
