In My Mailbox (26)

In My Mailbox was started by Kristi of The Story Siren and inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie. Sadly the only books I order are those that are hard to find. The following books are from the library and bookstores.

Borrowed:
Author: Jane Austen & Seth Grahame-Smith
Title: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies1
Publication Date: 2009
Synopsis: "So begins Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, an expanded edition of the beloved Jane Austen novel featuring all-new scenes of bone-crunching zombie mayhem. As our story opens, a mysterious plague has fallen upon the quiet English village of Meryton — and the dead are returning to life! Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is determined to wipe out the zombie menace, but she’s soon distracted by the arrival of the haughty and arrogant Mr. Darcy. What ensues is a delightful comedy of manners with plenty of civilized sparring between the two young lovers — and even more violent sparring on the blood-soaked battlefield. Can Elizabeth vanquish the spawn of Satan? And overcome the social prejudices of the class-conscious landed gentry? Complete with romance, heartbreak, swordfights, cannibalism, and thousands of rotting corpses, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies transforms a masterpiece of world literature into something you’d actually want to listen to."

Fugitives from Night World, three vampire sisters leave their isolated home to live among humans in Daughters of Darkness. Their brother, Ash, is sent to bring the girls back, but he falls in love with their beautiful friend.

First off, I hope that everyone has had a wonderful holiday season.
I would like to thank my Mom and Dad for the first volumn of Night World by L.J. Smith. I'd also like to send a thank you out to my Aunt and Uncle for The Demon's Lexicon and Another Faust. Last, but not least I give my thanks to ZG for The Van Alen Legacy and for letting me borrow her copy of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
Cannot wait to see what books everyone else received.

Wishing everyone a belated Happy Holiday and Merry Christmas.
