In My Mailbox (69)

In My Mailbox was started by Kristi of The Story Siren and inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie. Sadly the only books I order are those that are hard to find. The following books are from the library and bookstores.

Library:
Fruits Basket 8 by Natsuki Takaya, 2002.
Summer is on its way, so of course Tohru and friends are excited about the upcoming vacation and field trip. But what's that sound? It's Hatsuharu going beserk in the classroom... again! Black Haru is full of more rage than usual, so what will happen when Yuki intervenes? And then there's Ritsu Sohma, whose mom Tohru met at the hot spring; what's wrong with this kimono-wearing beauty?!
Another great volume. It was so hard to keep from bursting into laughter while I was reading while waiting at my Dad's office.

For the Win Cory Doctorow, 2010.
"At any hour of the day or night, millions of people around the globe are engrossed in multiplayer online games, questing and battling to win virtual gold, jewels, and precious artifacts. Meanwhile, others seek to exploit this vast shadow economy,

running electronic sweatshops in the world’s poorest countries, where countless “gold farmers,” bound to their work by abusive contracts and physical threats, harvest virtual treasure for their employers to sell to First World gamers who are willing to spend real money to skip straight to higher-level gameplay.
Mala is a brilliant 15-year-old from rural India whose leadership skills in virtual combat have earned her
the title of “General Robotwalla.”
I've been looking at For the Win everytime I go to the library for the last month or so I finally decided to just check it out. Can't wait to read it, I just hope its as good as Little Brother was.

Contest:
The Pace (The Pace, 1) by Shelena Shorts, 2009.

Weston Wilson is not immortal and he is of this world. But, aging is not part of his existence, and eighteen-year-old Sophie Slone is determined to find out why. In doing so, she could also uncover something about her own life expectancy that she may not want to know. Suddenly, immortality will mean everything and nothing all at the same time.
Thanks to Brandi of Blkosiner's Book Blog.

The Pace sounds really interesting, can't wait till I have a chance to read it.

Fruits basket was amazing as usual, it was so good in fact that I have already ordered the next volume from my library (now I'm just waiting for it to come in).
I haven't started For the Win yet, but it sounds like a very promsing book, can't wait to read it.
It looks like The Pace (which sounds really good) will have to be put near the end of my TBR while I try to read down the books that have been thee the longest, but I can't wait till I get a chance to read it.
Logic of Demons sounds really good and I'll tackle it as soon as I finish all my library books and re-reading The Chronicles of Narnia.
Hope y'all have had a wonderful week in books.
