I Want to Read It (3): Starters

I Want to Read It, a hybrid between WLW (or WOW) and what's on my to-be read pile. Well, instead of focusing just on books I would like to acquire, I will be using it to feature books that I just want to read. From the one's I want to buy to the one's sitting on my TBR at home.

Starters (Starters, 1) by Lissa Price, March 13, 2012. Published by Delacorte Books for Young Readers. Status: Owned.
HER WORLD IS CHANGED FOREVER

Callie lost her parents when the Spore Wars wiped out everyone between the ages of twenty and sixty. She and her little brother, Tyler, go on the run, living as squatters with their friend Michael and fighting off renegades who would kill them for a cookie. Callie's only hope is Prime Destinations, a disturbing place in Beverly Hills run by a mysterious figure known as the Old Man.

He hires teens to rent their bodies to Enders—seniors who want to be young again. Callie, desperate for the money that will keep her, Tyler, and Michael alive, agrees to be a donor. But the neurochip they place in Callie's head malfunctions and she wakes up in the life of her renter, living in her mansion, driving her cars, and going out with a senator's grandson. It feels almost like a fairy tale, until Callie discovers that her renter intends to do more than party—and that Prime Destinations' plans are more evil than Callie could ever have imagined. . . .
Why: I am embarrassed to admit that I've owned a copy of this for....well, probably since it released...and have yet to get around to reading it.

I know that I was super excited to get this one because it sounded so good. Yet, as you can tell, I never got around to reading it. With it being so far past release date, putting this on my "read it this year" list is making it feel like a new release (in some strange way) to me.

I cannot wait to delve into the world that Lissa Price has created!! Have you read Starters? Did you like it?
