I absolutely loved Under the Jolly Roger which is so far the best book in the series (though I've only read the first three books).
 I think one of the best things about Jacky's character is that while most of the other female characters in the series are stuck living a sheltered life (the books are based in the 1800's) she is out having adventures.
  The only thing I didn't like about Under the Jolly Roger was the way that Jacky automatically jumped to the conclusion the Jaimy was seeing another girl (she didn't hear from him the entire time she was in Boston and picks then to doubt his feelings towards her) when she ran into him at the races, when what she should have done was stuck around to find out what was going on. The best part of the book (in my opinion) was when her and her crew were busting their friends out of jail; their plan was just kind of funny.
  All in all, this book series is definitely worth reading and I highly recommend reading it.
