She seemed to reflect. Her eyes rested upon the crucifix on the wall. Then with voice expressive of her generous soul, she said:
"Yes, for the love of Jesus I too pardon him, and I want him to be with me in heaven."

Can you imagine, being able to forgive, and desire to see them in heaven, the person who murdered you! Such love and mercy from one who had suffered so much in her final hours. Believe it or not, I was practically in tears rereading through pages of this book in search of a quote to include for this post.
