Teaser Tuesday: The Three Theban Plays

Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. To participate, simply do the following: Grab your current read Open to a random page Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week's teaser is taken from Oedipus the King, Oedipus at Colonus and Antigone by Sophocles. Enjoy.

The Three Theban Plays by Sophocles, translated by Robert Fagles-

Oedipus the King-
Time, which sees all things, has found you out.
Oedipus at Colonus-
One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: That word is love.
Antigone-
Tomorrow is tomorrow.
Future cares have future cures,
And we must mind today.

I cannot even tell you how much I enjoyed reading all three of the Theban Plays. But, you can see my thoughts on the entire cycle by visiting my review of Oedipus the King, Oedipus at Colonus, and Antigone that went up yesterday.
