The Adventures of Tilda Pinkerton was a pretty good read, just a little on the slow side in the beginning.

Even though I found the beginning of the book to be a little slow, one of the things that really pulled me into the world and setting of the book would have to be the characters names. I liked how the author, Ms Shelton, gave the characters names that played into their respective talents and personalities. It definitely gave the reader a little more info about them, especially the ones that had minor roles in the book.

As for the world and setting, it was definitely different from anything I have read. I found it really interesting that the citizens of Ooleeoo were not native to that planet and that they were sent for research and then were left there. It made for an interesting twists since neither they nor Tilda were natives of Moodle, with the exception of the children.
I really liked that Star Jumpers and LTs. What I really liked about them was that it was so unique, even though the antennas and there purpose were a little weird at first. I found it interesting that the Star Jumpers were used to combat the KOD, which reminded me IT from A Wrinkle in Time. 

There's just one thing that I found a little confusing while reading The Adventures of Tilda Pinkerton. The timeline. I found the timeline to be a little skewed, which threw me off for the first seventy-five pages of the book. Because, apparently Tilda had been in Moodle for years, yet while reading I got the feeling that she had only been there for a few months tops. Now maybe I just missed a transition in time, but I think a little bridge was needed to show the passing of time.

Tilda Pinkerton was in, my opinion, a fascinating character to read about because she was unknowingly selfless. I liked that Tilda was so unaffected and that the good she did was not something she set out to do, it just happened. While I liked her, I was annoyed at times with her lack of knowledge concerning her past and how she seemed to have mentally shut out her past. I feel like I'm making no sense in describing her; I'll just leave it off her.

Even though it took me some time to get into The Adventures of Tilda Pinkerton I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. What I really liked about this book was Tilda herself, I loved that how she was trying to bring out the inner talents and strengths of the citizens of Moodle. What makes this my favorite part is that her heart was in the right place and that she was sharing her gifts and talents selflessly with them, even the ones that didn't deserve her kindness.

While I found The Adventures of Tilda Pinkerton to be a charming read, I would have liked it to be a little faster paced and to have seen it get right to the bones of the story earlier on. Even though the first half of the book was a little slow as the world, characters, and back story were set I found myself enjoying this read because of Tilda's heart. So, while this book was a little slow, the overall message is what won me over in the end.

Final Verdict: The Adventures of Tilda Pinkerton a win for those looking for a good book with a good message. definitely one to share with those you care about.
