Blog Tour Review: Killer Bytes

A killer is stalking London; a banker is already dead, killed in an explosion, and there are more victims in the killer’s sights.
Techno geek and Internet journalist, Wil Jackson becomes inadvertently embroiled in the investigation when he interviews one of the murder victims, and the killer starts communicating with Wil via the Internet.
Can Wil help the police stop the killer before the body count increases further?

So, what made Killer Bytes such an interesting read for me. Well there are really two main reasons had me zipping through this book.
I really liked Mr. William's writing and thought that he did an excellent job capturing the voice of the characters and keeping story rolling along. Plus, I liked that villain was truly twisted piece of crazy and not some half-baked baddie knockoff. The other reason I enjoyed this one so much would be how everything-the characters and motive for the murders-all tied together and the way that the book unfolded.

At first, I was not sure that I was going to like the protagonist, Wil, but as the story progressed I found myself liking his eager naivety and how he became invested in finding out who was committing the murders and why. I definitely found his personality to be refreshing because it was nice to see a character who was not self-absorbed or completely down on their self.
Chief Inspector Price, now him I found to be kind of funny. In a dry sort of way. But what really struck me while reading about him was not your typical book policeman because he seemed to actually care about catching wrong doers while sticking to the straight and narrow.

What I really enjoyed about Killer Bytes would have to be that it does not take long to get to the meat of the story and what was going on. I also thought it was interesting the role that Wil ended up playing in bringing the killer to justice. It was definitely different, but a good kind of different.

Even though I really enjoyed Killer Bytes I have have one thing that I did not like about it; and what I did not like has nothing to do with the actual book or Mr. Williams' writing. So, if I enjoyed the book and writing you are probably wondering what on earth I did not like, well, that would have to be the way the book was formatted and the font. I know, weird, but true. What bothered me about the formatting was that there was always a blank page between chapters, which may not bother some, but kind of annoyed me.Formatting aside, Killer Bytes is a fast, engaging read.

Final Verdict: Killer Bytes will draw you in from the beginning and take you on one crazy ride.
