The Dead of Night1 was an amazing follow up to Tomorrow, When the War Began2. While they're slowly starting to crumble after the loss of both Corrie and Kevin in the last book3.

One of the things that I am finding that I love about this series is how every time they seem to be making progress some calamity happens to throw a wrench in their survival. Corrie being shot in the first book and Kevin taking her to the hospitable, their joining up with Harvey's Heroes, and the death of Chris do to his drinking and driving while he was left alone.
I absolutely loathed4 the leader of Harvey's Heroes and his 'men' only missions, while the females were stuck doing the cleaning and cooking5.
Another great thing is how their not only trying to survive and keep from getting killed or killing each other, they are still trying to be normal kids; their dealing the consequences of taking the lives of others, stealing, and yes, there is some romance between a few of the characters.
Back to Harvey's Heroes, so while trying to find another way out of Hell6 they run across HH and join up with them, at first they're relived to no longer be in charge, until they realize that HH only attack transports that have long since been abandoned, and on the first job that Ellie and them are spectators for7 they're ambushed and HH's campsite is the home of a massacre. If that weren't bad enough, after barely surviving and being back in Hell for couple weeks, the kids begin to plan their next job and after many nights of surveillance they find that Harvey has turned traitor and begin to plan his downfall.
So far the Tomorrow series is extremely hard to put down and I cannot wait to read the third book.
