Teaser Tues...Wednesday: Ghostlight and Fires of Invention

Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. To participate, simply do the following: Grab your current read Open to a random page Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week's teaser is taken from Ghostlight by Sonia Gensler and Fires of Invention by J. Scott Savage. Enjoy.

Ghostlight by Sonia Gensler:
This time I was inside the house...in the parlor, actually, sitting on the rug and looking up at the mantel. That old china doll sat there, staring at straight ahead.
When it comes to horror books, I can be quite picky and hard to please. Yet, I really enjoyed this one because it was well written.

Fires of Invention by J. Scott Savage:
"If he was such a good mechanic, why did he work in a little repair shop? Why wasn't he assigned to be the head of maintenance?" he asked.
While a little on the slow side, I actually ended up really enjoying this one because it was so different and the mystery was, well, it was intriguing.
