26 Capes Later: Day Twenty-Two

Movie: Batman: The Dark Knight
Release date: 2008
Runtime: 152 minutes
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Action
Synopsis: "Christopher Nolan steps back into the director's chair for this sequel to Batman Begins, which finds the titular superhero coming face to face with his greatest nemesis -- the dreaded Joker. Christian Bale returns to the role of Batman, Maggie Gyllenhaal takes over the role of Rachel Dawes (played by Katie Holmes in Batman Begins), and Brokeback Mountain star Heath Ledger dons the ghoulishly gleeful Joker makeup previously worn by Jack Nicholson and Cesar Romero. Just as it begins to appear as if Batman, Lt. James Gordon (Gary Oldman), and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) are making headway in their tireless battle against the criminal element, a maniacal, wisecracking fiend plunges the streets of Gotham City into complete chaos."

Batman: the Dark Knight is a phenomenal movie, the action scenes and acting were awesome. The new Batman movies just seem to get better as each one comes along. The costumes get cooler, the fight scenes get more brutal, and the stories just keep on getting better.

I think Heath Ledger made the best Joker. I hope that the Joker won’t be in anymore Batman movies because I don't think anyone else would ever be able to do as good of a job as he did. Maggie Gyllenhaal was an immense improvement over Katie Holmes in the role of Rachel Dawes.
The Batpod was cool in a very odd (even if it was weird looking) way.
My favorite scene would have to have been the whole movie; it was just so good but so very long.
I didn't think it was even possible, but The Dark Knight was even better than Batman Begins. I hope there will be more movies in the Batman franchise simply because he’s my favorite cape.
