Siege by Roxane Orgill-

Due to a rumor
the British were going
to storm his lines
the General sent

twelve hundred rebels
to dig trenches,
throw up breastworks
on Plough Hill.

The British replied
with heavy cannon fire,
sent two floating batteries
and a man-of-war.

 I don't typically enjoy novels told in verse but this one was pretty interesting.
